Construcciones autobiográficas y relaciones de sucesos sobre la Monja alférez Catalina de Erauso

The recovery of four relaciones de sucesos about the historical case of the Ensigne Nun, Catalina de Erauso, printed in Seville between 1618 and 1625 –contemporary with the life of this singular woman (1592-1650?)– allow us to analyze different testimonies of prácticas relacioneras related to this case, as well as the textual journey that leads from those sheets to other textual genres, with a special consideration towards the alleged biography (continually renewed in time) of Catalina, in a dissemination of narrative practices –also scenic– that will consolidate until our contemporary era the profile of this legendary figure in the Iberian and Latin American collective imagination.
