Parental perception was examined in a total sample of 160 youths between the ages of 13 and 16. The subjects consisted of two groups (40 males and 40 females each) from diverse social conditions: an urban working class community distinguished by a high degree of juvenile delinquency; and a traditional rural village with a low degree of delinquency. The youths were administered individually the TAT paternal and maternal cards (cards 6 and 7 respectively for males and females). The statistical comparison of the relationship with parental figures showed significant differences betWeen the sexes and the tWo groups.
