In the course of the architectural history, numerous inspiring principles have shaped building typologies and their construction techniques. It would be interesting to reflect on motivations of different constructive choices and on the quality research of the constructive elements. Therefore, nowadays, improving art of built using bioclimatic principals that could bring us back to a forgotten constructive knowledge that has in the climatic condition the principal decisional choice, is an essential aim. By decree law 59/2009, Italy takes on board the European directive 2002/91/CE, replaced by the current 2010/31/UE, which regulates the implementation of energy saving techniques in building. This decree introduces both summer energy requirements for buildings cooling and transient regime properties of materials and superficial mass limit. In Italy, in addition to energy use during winter, another cause of hot-dry summers is the high consumption of cooling energy. Most of Italian edifices built during the last fifty years do not have the adequate thermophysical behaviour to allow thermal comfort conditions. The right way to achieve the proper functioning of building-system in the Mediterranean context is not to maximise the solar gains, but the balance between the heat loss limitation and thermal capacity wall. The purpose of this research is to analyse the law about physical properties of buildings constructive elements under summer conditions, and to offer useful data about the thermophysical behaviour of buildings in Mediterranean context. In particular, it has been analysed the thermophysical behaviour to enrich architectures and lightweight walls with frame structures (wood framework with compacted cellulose filling insufflations). This research uses environmental monitoring in order to study the thermal behaviours of the heavyweight and lightweight structures.
