The adoption of the classical-standard system can create confusions in a comparative study with non semitic languages. This study propose to teach the verbal system of arabic and italian from a "genre" point of view based on the theory of Emile Benveniste, which is nearly the same of the traditional arabic system used by the arab grammarians and rethorics. This approach makes possible the correspondence between italian and arabic verbal systems for teaching and translation matters.
