The study presents the results of a research on perception, description and commentary on the activities taking place in the classes of languages according to two points of view: that of teachers and that of students. The aim is to compare different perspectives on the classes of language, in order to analyze similarities and differences among th egroups of partecipants to the communicative events that take place at school. The analysis is based in particular on the observation of the lexicon used with métacommunicatives functions: the qualitative and quantitative study of the so called "logonymes", that are the terms that refer to the activities of the uses of language. Following an ethno-semantic approach to the study of classroom communication, the comparison of the “logonims” used by the various actors involved in the language classroom permits to define the different conceptual frameworks of the actors themeselves, as well as the different processes of creation of a specific lexicon according to the contextual use.It is, therefore, a study about the lexicon in language teaching based on uses and definitions given by the speakers themselves (emic perspective) and not those recorded in dictionaries, encyclopedias and specialized texts on the subject
