I gruppi bancari europei e la crisi finanziaria: un’analisi su dati di bilancio

Following the on-going financial crisis that began in 2007, it has become of fundamental interest to the participants in the international financial system to verify the structural conditions of each single country and those into operate there. It is essential to understand the conditions of each intermediary as well as the dynamics which have developed to overcome the crisis. This has become of irremissible importance in order to comprehend better the mechanisms by which modes of conduct are filtered. The aim of this article is to investigate the principal managerial characteristics of a significant number of European Banking groups, evaluating both the positive and negative evolutionary aspects that took place in 2006, 2008 and 2009, so as to be able to identify the differing capabilities of the intermediaries in confronting and overcoming the particular problematics deriving from a systemic crisis.
