This paper takes as its background the specific dynamics of the relationship between individuals and society in the philosophical thinking of Alfred Schütz, trying to emphasize, through the analysis of them, the problems related to the complex issue of comparison between "ethical relativism" and "universality". We will try to emerge as the thought of the philosopher there is a direct attempt to find a relationship of complementarity between these meanings that are known to be attributed to ethics, sometimes including both separate and as opposed.
