Abstract
It is common knowledge the importance of the myth of ancient Rome for the propaganda of the fascist regime. The recovery of a false and generic ‘romanità’, especially after the Mussolini’s proclamation about the return of the empire on the hills of Rome, is a powerful medium to translate rhetorically the main guidelines of the fascist politic. In this process, especially after the cowardly Italian attack on Greece (October 1940), is severely diminished by the propaganda of the regime – also in a view manifestly racist – the role playedby the Greek world in the evolution of the Roman culture.File in questo prodotto:
