La città in Sardegna fra tardo antico ed alto medioevo

The paper aims to draw a picture of the towns in Sardinia in Postclassical Age through the analysis of some main points (walls, road system, civil and religious public buildings, as churches, monasteries, workshops and production areas, urban and suburban cemetieries) until the end of the byzantine period, when the inhabitants moved to new urban centers, where medieval ton were going to create.

Il contributo offre un panoramica della fisionomia delle città sarde nell'epoca postclassica, attraverso l'esame dei principali aspetti (mura, viabilità, edifici pubblici civili e religiosi (chiese e monasteri), attività e spazi artigianali, spazio dei morti) fino alla fine della vita nell'alto medioevo e allo spostamento degli abitanti verso nuovi centri, dove nasce la città medievale.
