Una testimonianza norense sull’attività urbanistica di un proconsole di Sardinia in età augustea

New analysis of three marble slabs from Nora preserved in the “Museo Archeologico Nazionale” of Cagliari. In the slabs, belonging to a large incomplete inscribed monument (CIL X, 7543 = AE 2001, 1110) from an unidentified building, is remembered the pro c[o(n)s(ule)] of Sardinia C. Mucius, C. f., Scaevola and an uncertain evergetic action accomplished, perhaps by the same governor, by means of private financial resources. The difference in height between the slabs emerged during the autopsy could be explained assuming with caution that them should not be assigned to a single inscription but to an epigraph engraved in two identical copies.
