The Drawing is characterized as a means of knowledge and a privileged medium for reading, managing and communicating space and form. The investigated reality can be decomposed, analyzed, recomposed and represented through easier and immediate reading patterns. Numerous travelers and scholars across Italy have drawn different places. Travelers drawing is a way of observing the world, an always very current and effective way of telling the spaces and places visited or crossed. By observing the travel notebook drawings, we can see with "new" eyes, space and time, in a suspended dimension between objective world and subjective involvement. Several travelers arrive in Sardinia in the nineteenth century. For the island, this is the century of European scientific and cultural divulgation: Alberto Ferrero della Marmora, a Piedmontese military officer, will tell them in his atlas, including and above all through the drawing. The experience of re-reading the places visited by the Marmora, paled in our eyes meant until that time unveiled. Drawing again today those same places, highlights how the action of the drawing changes as the look, the hand and the pen retrace signs and shapes of space, and the level of enjoyment that accompanies the drawing becomes the instrument to weigh the qualities of the landscape, its features and its equilibrium.

Abstract
Drawing again today those same places, highlights how the action of the drawing changes as the look, the hand and the pen retrace signs and shapes of space, and the level of enjoyment that accompanies the drawing becomes the instrument to weigh the qualities of the landscape, its features and its equilibrium.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
