This essay focuses on the translation by Ervino Pocar of the cycle of poems 'Nordesee' from Heinrich Heine. Pocar was one of the most important mediator between italian culture and german culture. In the essay both the historical- cultural reasons which brought Pocar to this Heine's work and the actual translational process (in its metrical, sintactical and lexical aspects) are considered.

Abstract
