The chapter aims to introduce the reader to the issue of cognitive process. This from the initial perception is articulated in successive moments of representation, interpretation and finally action. The representation is here explained therefore not as simple graphic transposition of an experience but as an element that is derived from a subjective perception, mediated or not, action-oriented, that is to the modification of the same object of the perception (in this case the territory) in a continuous and circular process.
