Abstract
Fascism and Franquism: reception and censorship of italian texts in Spain. The principal goal is to review the existing analyses of the cultural exchanges between Italy and Spain; in particular, the censorship and repressive politics during Franco’s long dictatorship, which influenced literary production, selection decisions made by publishing houses and the activity of the whole world of information and culture in general. A largely based research of primary sources in major Spanish archives and libraries, with the purpose of reviewing important data and reassessing some important aspects (principally repression and censorship in publishing) of cultural politics during the Franco dictatorship. Studying the dissemination of Italian writings in Spain ― quantitative and qualitative changes, the evolution in translation typologies, publishing choices, censorship criteria and reading preferences ― provides greater insight into how Italian culture and literature contributed to the evolution of cultural processes in Spain during 1900's.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
