Fairy tale permeates contemporary children's literature with its own characteristics and not only in the explicit rewriting of classical fairy tales. For thousands of years, it has somehow guarded illusion, utopia, the possibility of living more stories and therefore more lives and, at the same time, through the languages of metaphor, it offers the ability to decipher reality and thus look at death, suffering, loneliness, exclusion. Also for this reason the fairy tale continues to fascinate and pass through the narratives of all historical periods. Through some examples taken from contemporary children's literature, here we try to identify the persistence of traces of fairy tales.

Abstract
Fairy tale permeates contemporary children's literature with its own characteristics and not only in the explicit rewriting of classical fairy tales. For thousands of years, it has somehow guarded illusion, utopia, the possibility of living more stories and therefore more lives and, at the same time, through the languages of metaphor, it offers the ability to decipher reality and thus look at death, suffering, loneliness, exclusion. Also for this reason the fairy tale continues to fascinate and pass through the narratives of all historical periods. Through some examples taken from contemporary children's literature, here we try to identify the persistence of traces of fairy tales.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
