The book aims to build a logical structure of reference in the scope of the design of educational spaces. It retraces the evolution of learning spaces focusing on the deep relationships between the ideas behind the pedagogical approaches and their architectural materialization. The school should be conceived as a space built as a representation of an educational model. However, with the historical rise of new approaches to teaching practice and digital strategies of transmitting knowledge, reshaping the architecture of the school is more urgent than ever.
