This chapter will introduce the concept of Geodesign as a collaborative, interdisciplinary activity, among design professionals, geographic scientists, information technologists, and people of the place. Geodesign is neither a science nor a profession, but a set of notions and methods, derived from both geography and design. It can be defined as an integrated spatial planning activity, informed by contextual environmental impact assessment. A parallel will be drawn with Geoprospective, which shares with it the aim for foresight and for a better place to live. Geodesign is based on system thinking and collaborative workshops are the best format for it. Three different workshops will be presented in this chapter: the case study at the regional scale of Oristano Gulf in Sardinia, Italy; the case study at the metropolitan scale of Cagliari in Sardinia, Italy; and the case study at the local scale of Méridia neighborhood in Nice, France.
