Abstract
The colonial policy of fascism was not simply the continuation of the pre-fascist one. For Mussolini, expansionism was not just a military question, of international prestige or of internal consensus; colonial policy was instead a tool for realizing the regime's project of national transformation. From this perspective, the chapter reconstructs the ways in which the processes of nation-state construction and empire building intertwined over the course of the 1920s until the Second World War.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
