This article aims to trace an excursus on the Jews in pagan Latin literary sources, with particular reference to the late-republican and early-imperial ones (1st BC-in. 2nd AD). The sources referring to political-military aspects, ethnographic digressions, geographical-naturalistic interests related to Judea are left aside and vice versa, the occurrences, in prose and poetry, which show the consideration that the Romans had for the Jews of the diaspora settled in the western countries are analysed.
L’intervento mira a tracciare un excursus sugli Ebrei nelle fonti letterarie latine pagane, con particolare riferimento a quelle tardo-repubblicane e primo-imperiali (I a.C.-in. II d.C.).
