This paper aims to verify the articulation of reflections on genderbased violence within the Italian parliamentary debate, focusing mainly on the phenomenon of femicide concerning the approval of law n. 119 of 15 October 2013. In particular, the paper will present an analysis aimed at highlighting the specific element of misogyny within the discourse on femicide and will examine the language used in Parliament to understand whether misogyny has been taken into account during the discussion and approval of the law.
