The epigraphic class of the instrumentum inscriptum is certainly one of the most common in the entire epigraphic panorama. The oil lamps in particular are among the most present objects in public and private collections and are the most found artifacts in archaeological excavations. Despite this, they appear to be understudied. The first result of our multiannual work is this article which aims to be the first of a series that will act as an update to the epigraphic corpus printed by Giovanna Sotgiu in 1968. Open data, open format and interoperability will be the key words that will guide in making this work truly shared and reusable.

Abstract
The epigraphic class of the instrumentum inscriptum is certainly one of the most common in the entire epigraphic panorama. The oil lamps in particular are among the most present objects in public and private collections and are the most found artifacts in archaeological excavations. Despite this, they appear to be understudied. The first result of our multiannual work is this article which aims to be the first of a series that will act as an update to the epigraphic corpus printed by Giovanna Sotgiu in 1968. Open data, open format and interoperability will be the key words that will guide in making this work truly shared and reusable.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
