The contribution reconstructs the main features of Byzantine coinage in Sardinia, proposing its historical reconstruction and reflecting on the characteristics of taxation on the island at a time when it interacted with other realities of the Western Mediterranean, such as the Lombards and the Arabs of North Africa.
Il contributo ricostruisce le caratteristiche principali della monetazione bizantina in Sardegna, proponendone la ricostruzione storica e riflettendo sulle caratteristiche della fiscalità nell'isola in un momento in cui la stessa si interfacciava ad altre realtà del Mediterraneo occidentale come i Longobardi e gli Arabi del Nord Africa.
