Inclusione delle pluralità di genere nella comunicazione istituzionale: la modulistica per carriere alias in alcuni atenei italiani

The aim of this paper is to describe the relationship between new social issues concerning non-binary gender identities and their possible integration among institutional communi- cation in Italian, the latter being a language with only two genders that does not allow to represent different identities from a grammatical point of view. In this paper, institutional communication in the Italian academic world will be explored, with a particular focus on alias identities. This is a special service that many universities offer to non-binary people in order to let them live a qualitative academic life by using the elected name and gender in- stead of the assigned-at-birth ones. The current structure of documents and modules about alias identities will be analysed, and some possible linguistic solutions will be explored that would be inclusive for non-binary people from a lexical and phrasal point of view rather than from a morpho-syntactic one.
