This article examines how professional communication skills can be promoted in German as a Foreign Language (DaF) or German as a Second Language (DaZ) courses for foreign doctors, with a particular focus on the basic conditions of doctor-patient interaction. Using the example of an authentic anamnesis interview, the paper shows how digital resources and spoken language corpora can be used to enable foreign doctors to experiment with oral interaction and its genre-specific characteristics in the German language.
