This essay, to which there are three parts, has its subject in the disputed, and extremely complex relation among the concepts of ‘language, state and nation’ referred to Austria between the XIV Century and 1918. Such relation, because of the multinational nature of the Habsburg Empire – later, Austro-Hungarian Empire -, presents many problems (starting from the political one till, gradually, as effect, to the linguistic and literary ones) which make Austria a special ‘instance’ among other countries in Europe.

Abstract
This essay, to which there are three parts, has its subject in the disputed, and extremely complex relation among the concepts of ‘language, state and nation’ referred to Austria between the XIV Century and 1918. Such relation, because of the multinational nature of the Habsburg Empire – later, Austro-Hungarian Empire -, presents many problems (starting from the political one till, gradually, as effect, to the linguistic and literary ones) which make Austria a special ‘instance’ among other countries in Europe.File in questo prodotto:
