This book is a collection of lessons for second level degree students of Administrative Science in the Faculty of Political Science at the University of Cagliari. The course covers various aspects of public administration and the Civil Service, along with social policy and welfare in the UK. These fields of study are presented through short texts followed by a series of tasks designed to develop the students’ reading, listening, writing and speaking skills. The graded texts are intended for B2 level students and highlight various key grammar structures and focus on specific vocabulary commonly used in the fields presented. The specific lexis that students encounter in this book will serve as a basis for extending their knowledge of specialised discourse.
