The multi-stratified site of Conca Illonis at Cabras (OR), known in the scientific literature since the end of the 19th century, has yielded a considerable concentration of anthropomorphic figurines of prehistoric age, in part already presented by the pioneering studies of Enrico Atzeni in 1975 and 1978. 20 artefacts have been found so far, unfortunately fragmentary, of which 12 have remained unpublished until today. All the figurines were acquired during surface surveys, carried out between the 1970s and the early 1980s, with the only exception of the specimen from the Pischedda Collection, found previously. Thanks to the comparative analysis with artefacts coming from stratigraphically controlled conditions, most of the figurines from Conca Illonis, both lithic and clay, can be easily classified on a typological and cultural level, with the possibility of attributing each artefact to a relatively limited chronological horizon. Based on available knowledge, the different types of anthropomorphic representation can be placed between the advanced middle Neolithic San Ciriaco culture (2nd half of the 5th millennium BC) and the initial Eneolithic Sub-Ozieri facies.

Abstract
Based on available knowledge, the different types of anthropomorphic representation can be placed between the advanced middle Neolithic San Ciriaco culture (2nd half of the 5th millennium BC) and the initial Eneolithic Sub-Ozieri facies.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
