The notion of equivalence in bilingual lexicography remains vague and ambiguous. The presence of different terminologies only further accentuates the confusion between lexicographic equivalence and other typologies. In this article, we propose to revisit the notion of equivalence by introducing equidistance. Thus, we present a two-level analysis model for calculating the equidistance ratio between all pairs of possible equivalents.

Abstract
The notion of equivalence in bilingual lexicography remains vague and ambiguous. The presence of different terminologies only further accentuates the confusion between lexicographic equivalence and other typologies. In this article, we propose to revisit the notion of equivalence by introducing equidistance. Thus, we present a two-level analysis model for calculating the equidistance ratio between all pairs of possible equivalents.File in questo prodotto:
