The objective of this volume is to contribute to socio economic and territorial analisys for the determination of cause-effect relationships in the phenomena of desertification localized in a pilot area, representative of the problems spread throughout the Mediterranean basin. More specifically the contribution consists of developing models that help understand and predict the likely development trends in the use of soil and water needs for domestic and irrigation, which underpin the process of desertification in place.
