More than ten years after the national law which protects linguistic minorities and their languages, the article proposes an examination of the practices used in educational environment in order to preserve and promote these languages. In particular, some weak points of the legislation are highlighted, and the actions that followed. The examples relate, in particular, Sardinian experience. The paper suggests, finally, some useful tools and proposals.
