Abstract
Among the oracular cults of ancient Greece, the Boeotian cult of Lebadea dedicated to Trophonius is a particular case of study. In absence of archaeological evidences, even for the same topographical location of the sanctuary, we have information about the complex rituals that characterized the consultation of the oracle. An important part of these liturgies was the offer of honey cakes by the devotee, the melittutai, whose exegesis is the main subject of this contribution.File in questo prodotto:
