The essay introduces the academy research and design developed in the International Thesis Studio “La casa dell’Uomo”, of the degree course in Architecture at the University of Cagliari, coordinated by prof. Nicola Di Battista e professors Pier Francesco Cherchi and Silvia Bodei. This studio is part of an international program coordinated by Prof. Andras Palffy (TU Wien) which involved eleven European schools of architecture. The research, carried out with the tools of analysis and verification that are proper to the discipline of architectural design, analyzes the theme of living in the countryside, in this case the agricultural region of Burgenland in Austria.

Abstract
