Abstract
Cagliari can modernize itself through the development of local public transport network. But the light railway should not only be the instrument to solve the problem of urban mobility, but it is mainly an opportunity to start a process of complete reorganization of the city, of the relations between its waterfront and its consolidated urban fabric, between the residential and public areas for instance. Three laboratories of Architectural Composition V of the Faculty of Architecture explore many places offering various approaches and solutions. Piazza Repubblica and late twentieth century related expansion, Piazza dei Centomila and its waterfront of Bonaria and the intermodal center between Piazza Matteotti and Via della Plaia are the subjects that more than one hundred students, coordinated by Sergio Braz Antão, Giovanni Marco Chiri, Carme Fiol and Olindo Merone, have developed in depth through the projects on display. The exhibition is divided into two parts: firstly, the overall scenario and the suggestions that the laboratories offer to the city, the second part is a metaphor of the ordinary job of the school.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
