While non-traditional work is spreading in Europe (Brewster, Mayne and Tregaskis, 1997: 32), an increasing flow of psychological literature has focused its attention on the negative effects of flexible work on the individuals (e.g. Sverke, Hellgren and Näswall, 2002:7; De Cuyper and De Witte, 2006: 13). This paper will report findings from a study which explored job satisfaction and personal values on a sample of 299 participants, selected from both permanent and flexible workers, employed in Public Organizations. Findings highlight that non-traditional workers express greater openness to change and job satisfaction, than traditional ones.

Abstract
While non-traditional work is spreading in Europe (Brewster, Mayne and Tregaskis, 1997: 32), an increasing flow of psychological literature has focused its attention on the negative effects of flexible work on the individuals (e.g. Sverke, Hellgren and Näswall, 2002:7; De Cuyper and De Witte, 2006: 13). This paper will report findings from a study which explored job satisfaction and personal values on a sample of 299 participants, selected from both permanent and flexible workers, employed in Public Organizations. Findings highlight that non-traditional workers express greater openness to change and job satisfaction, than traditional ones.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
