In the present paper a novel configuration of a Cassegrain-type concentrator photovoltaic (CPV) module has been presented. The module has been developed by Physics Department of the University of Ferrara and tested and characterized at the Sardegna Ricerche Photovoltaic Laboratory. The CPV receiver design and the module structure have been firstly reported and described in detail to highlight the carefulness in components and material choice. An exhaustive outdoor characterization have been carried out to evaluate the impact of weather patterns on the system power and efficiency. In particular, the effects of irradiance, ambient temperature and wind speed on the performance of a single receiver have been deeply investigated. Finally the influence of the cell temperature on the CPV prototype electrical and thermal performances have been assessed.

Abstract
Finally the influence of the cell temperature on the CPV prototype electrical and thermal performances have been assessed.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
