We present the analysis of the inter-municipal commuting network of the Island of Sardinia, Italy. The logical and the physical network properties are investigated through several characterizing measures and discussed in relation with socio-economic and traffic emerging characteristics of Sardinia. The analysis presented here might represent a relevant tool in supporting policy-making and planning processes.

Abstract
