Large ovarian cyst in premenopausal women can be successfully managed using a laparoscopic approach. The major advantages of laparoscopy in comparison to laparotomy are less postoperative pain, reduction of recovery time, hospital stay, costs, and adhesion formation. These results are particularly important in young women in whom fertility is an issue.

Abstract
Large ovarian cyst in premenopausal women can be successfully managed using a laparoscopic approach. The major advantages of laparoscopy in comparison to laparotomy are less postoperative pain, reduction of recovery time, hospital stay, costs, and adhesion formation.
