We describe a transputer-based, high computeing-power system for automatic measurements of electromyographic jitter. Taking advantage of the concurrent operation of transputer modules, the system allows for simultaneous data acquisition, signal processing and data analysis. While data are acquired and analyzed, a real-time visualization of the variability of the latency is provided together with a continuously up-dated histogram of its distribution. The system is capable of collecting up to 40,000 successive signals, and features a jitter resolution of 0.7 microsec. Typical results of data acquisition and on-line analysis are reported.

Abstract: | We describe a transputer-based, high computeing-power system for automatic measurements of electromyographic jitter.
