The question concerning the connection between ancient and new in architecture is still actual, even though debated for over sixty years. This is a very complex issue, in respect of which the comparison between the Architectural design and the Architectural restoration can bring to qualified results. On this basis, the paper illustrates the outcomes of a theorical and practical research, according to a multiscale and interdisciplinary overtures, achieved during two years of university teaching. Some exemples, at the architectural, urban and landscape scale are shown. The project looks at the present through the past, to give new meanings to places, spaces and architectures. So, conservation and reuse become an opportunity to enhance cultural/material values and to give relevant answers to the accelerations that the contemporary city imposes. The work aims to demonstrate that utopia and project may lead to a non-adversarial approach.

Abstract
The work aims to demonstrate that utopia and project may lead to a non-adversarial approach.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
