This paper describes some details concerning a seismic reflection survey carried out in the Hachiro-gata reclaimed land (Northwestern Japan). The survey was conducted using both SH- and SV-waves and structures shallower than 100 m were explored. Some auxiliary experiments were conducted to clarify evidence of the SV-waves and to reveal their transmission and conversion characteristics in the surface layer. Through this process we made possible to compare the SH-waves an the SV-waves seismic sections.

Abstract
This paper describes some details concerning a seismic reflection survey carried out in the Hachiro-gata reclaimed land (Northwestern Japan). The survey was conducted using both SH- and SV-waves and structures shallower than 100 m were explored. Some auxiliary experiments were conducted to clarify evidence of the SV-waves and to reveal their transmission and conversion characteristics in the surface layer. Through this process we made possible to compare the SH-waves an the SV-waves seismic sections.File in questo prodotto:
