Rapporto tra corte e recinto. Processi di trasformazione del vuoto storico

In the Mediterranean area, the relationship between the living and its spaces have suffered deep mutations in the last seventy years. This variation appears through an investigation about the traditional habitat and its evolution, led to the new political, economical and social dynamics. The paper will analyze the transformation in time of the traditional house, in particular the courtyard and its enclosure variations. The study cases, all located in the Sardinian territory, will be necessary to abstract from different themes about transformation: the abandonment and the re-utilization, the limits and the contents, the empty and the full space. Every case will be define through a description that evidences a transformation theme, which defines the effects to the new transformation processes on the traditional architectonic elements and with which logics.
