The present research defines some experimental criteria related to the implementation of the Building Information Modeling (BIM) for the management of information belonging to the chronological analysis of historical building. It is already well known the complexity of stratigraphy and the problems related with 2D representation of analysis that make the interpretative process really difficult to manage. Starting from these assumptions, the purpose of the study is to develop, using the BIM, an automatic process able to manage and show in 3D representation all the information coming from the knowledge phase. The software, already able to record and manage temporary precedence in building works, could be efficiently forced to generate and visualize the historic sequence of the construction, based on the time data collected in the input phase. The study takes advantage from the combined works of researchers belonging from the different scientific area of restoration and building production. Specifically, the research profits from the experience of knowledge management already consolidated in others fields, in order to guarantee quality in the conservation project, to assist design as well as yard works, to make restoration processes efficient both in terms of economy and time.

Abstract
Specifically, the research profits from the experience of knowledge management already consolidated in others fields, in order to guarantee quality in the conservation project, to assist design as well as yard works, to make restoration processes efficient both in terms of economy and time.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
