The building of new productive and institutional spaces: the case of sardinian rural élites in XIX century. For the studies about rural élites in Sardinia we must start from XVII century, when it starts the accumulation process of big landed estate and middle and local aristocracy was born. is article concerned about the rural aristocracy in the region of Monreale. The study especially interest the genealogy network and the rural estate of Serpi, Orrù and Diana families. The leading members of this families take part to national politic and to italian Risorgimento. 329For example Raimondo Orrù Lilliu and Giovanni Battista Serpi become members of parliament in the Kingdom of Sardinia and in the Kingdom of Italy.Giovanni Battista Serpi also becames general of Carabinieri Reali and he leads the setting-up of carabinieri in Sicily, after the Spedizione dei Mille. The study on the actions of Serpi and in Sicily provides some reflections about the creation of the national state.
