Abstract

A Tabu Search metaheuristic procedure has been developed to solve the Moving Vector Hysteron Model identification problem. An analytic modified Preisach model is used to describe the hysteretic behavior of a magnetic material in case of scalar magnetization. Using the Tabu Search optimization algorithm it is possible to explore the model parameters space in a smart way identifying the corresponding values that minimize an error function while limiting the computation effort. The search has been performed for different magnetization values and the best fitting functions have been derived. Model validation is performed with experimental data.
