This paper reports the experimental results and theoretical fatigue analysis carried out on fiber-reinforced cemented base to predict the semi-rigid pavement performance. In the first phase, 18 split tensile tests were performed under different cement content (0%, 2.5%, and 3.5%) and steel fiber content (0%, 0.75%, and 1.5%). In June of 2002, two different test sections were build in south-east Sardinia, using conventional construction techniques and equipment, to evaluate the effectiveness of in-place mixing of composite materials and to quantify the effects of the fibers during the life service of the pavement. A fatigue analysis was developed using experimental results and a theoretical model of cement concrete, based on the comparison of the hysteretic envelope of load cycles and the curve in tension. Finally, a chemical test was carried out in order to evaluate the corrosion phenomena on the fiber-reinforcement used in the base cement layer
