The research project – conducted in the form of High Training Apprenticeship – is a multi-year survey of the Condaghes publishing house’s work, aimed at examining in a capillary way the systems through which the communication in the publishing field acts as a channel of historical dissemination and enhancement of the local cultural heritage. In the beginning, the research analyses the structures and features of the publishing house, identifying the historical series consistent with the objectives of the proposed study. Consequently, the discussion proceeds, on the one hand, to the analysis of the company’s internal operating procedures – used in the selection and editing of a historical essay – and, on the other, of external operating procedures, aimed at promoting the same editorial product and spreading its contents through heterogeneous channels and formats (live events, media, press). Therefore, a peculiar paradigm is identified in editorial communication, according to which a promotion plan, developing in the forms of dissemination and actively collaborating with organizations, institutions, and cultural associations acts as a form of public enhancement of the territory. In the light of the results obtained, a comparison is then made between the dissemination’s methods and practices used by editorial communication and those ones characteristics of Public History discipline, identifying both operational affinities and shared problems, and outlining possible innovations and professional and employment prospects.

Abstract
In the light of the results obtained, a comparison is then made between the dissemination’s methods and practices used by editorial communication and those ones characteristics of Public History discipline, identifying both operational affinities and shared problems, and outlining possible innovations and professional and employment prospects.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
