Abstract
Through an analysis of the novel (and movie) The Circle by Dave Eggers, the article seeks to demon- strate how in the 2000s the suburbs became the most desired utopia. In fact, they offer the maximum feeling of safety. They are perfectly suited to a post-Fordist economy which does not require crowds of unskilled workers, but rather uses emotional and creative faculties as its main production tools. They offer the spatial organisation that best leverages the potential of ICT to make a city “smart”.File in questo prodotto:
