Abstract

The research pursues as its primary objective the study and analysis offered by the geographical discipline towards the knowledge, understanding and evaluation of tourism, both as a product of modernity, which as a concrete and social expedient of authenticity, inserted within a defined local framework: Sardinia, with a focus on inland areas. Analyzing the changes occurring in the places of our daily life, with specific reference to those strictly connected to the tourism sector contemporary, a critical and reasoned reflection on the conditions in which pour these territories, both in terms of depopulation and loss, in some contexts almost total, of what Magnaghi defines as local specificities. The research identifies several lines intervention that investigate the contemporary developments of tourism forms: eg. the theme of territorial enhancement, sustainability and accessibility, tourism in inland areas, rediscovery of the villages, food and wine tourism. An understanding of the phenomenon approaches this line from a transcalar perspective of contemporaneity, or what meaning tourism can have today in the era of Covid-19, what repercussions it had and still has, what practices to develop. TO these addresses follow an applicative dimension of research which has reflected on two orientations linked: the first identifies a possible territorial configuration in terms of tourism linked to practice of Social Eating developed within the Municipality of Nughedu Santa Vittoria, in the province of Oristano; the second interacts through a cultural storytelling on the new modalities of use, thanks to the use of digital technology, within the Archaeological Park of Santa Cristina in municipality of Paulilatino and that of Nuraghe Losa in the municipality of Abbasanta and how these can be read and understood through a geographical observation lens.
