In accordance with the objectives of the theme-bound research project (PON FSC 2015-2017 Axis "Human Capital" of the Fund for Development and Cohesion, Internal Areas/Marginalized Areas) endorsed and hosted by the Municipality of Belvì (Nu), the thesis develops the topics and practices that have guided the research path, conducted as immersive action-research with a qualitative-ethnographic approach. By traversing phenomenological-existential philosophical thought (E. Husserl, M. Heidegger, M. Merleau-Ponty, E. Fink, J. Patočka) and pragmatism (J. Dewey), which underpins twentieth-century and contemporary reflection on the body as the place and dimension of the sensory and cognitive unity of the human person (M. Foucault, G. Deleuze, J. Derrida, J.-L. Nancy, M. Hamington, M. Sheets-Johnstone), confirmed in a transdisciplinary sense by current pedagogical (R. Massa, I. Gamelli) and scientific reflection (A. Damasio, V. Gallese, A. Noë), delveing into aspects of R. Laban's choreo-educational methodology and M. Feldenkrais' 'somatics' and drawing strength from R. Shusterman's 'somaesthetic' theories, the work gives substance to an idea of dance as a choreo-aesthetic pedagogical device and as a choreosomatic practice. Furthermore, by revisiting the concept of 'inoperosity' (Nancy) and retracing some of the contemporary ethical-aesthetic-philosophical themes (F. Jullien, B.-C. Han, A. Badiou, E. Morin, C. Sini), the thesis aligns with the aesthetic-social conception of J. Rancière, to envision an egalitarian, emancipated, and dancing community.
