The valley of the River Mogoro is a large alluvial area in central Sardinia, within the historical region of Marmilla. The latter featured a remarkable density of settlements since Prehistory and Nuragic era, with multi-levelled continuity up to Late Antiquity. The aim of this chapter is to frame these territorial settlement patterns through a comprehensive approach combining traditional archaeological methodology with the new stimuli from GIS spatial analyses, to grow new knowledge on the ancient landscape’s socioeconomic features from Classical to Post Classical Age.
